Our History

Jennifer Dhaemers
Jennifer Dhaemers

Giant Steps was founded in 1997 by Jennifer Dhaemers, a former NISD elementary school teacher.

As parents of Giant Steps graduates shared their children's success for early academic achievement, demand for its curriculum grew and resulted in expansion from an in- home preschool to its existing early educational program for children ages 2-6 years.

Grand Opening of third expansion - Fall 2007

In the fall of 2007, Giant Steps opened its third expansion by adding a two year old, Early Learners Program and Transitional/Kindergarten for children ages 4 ½ -6 years.

Giant Steps continues to strive to meet the needs of our families and children by offering a school in an enriched learning environment with experienced certified/degreed teachers in our classrooms ages 3-6 years.

"As owner, former teacher, and director of Giant Steps, I am dedicated to providing the very best for your child academically and socially within a nurturing and loving environment. "
